ALMA – Hydro-Quebec is currently building a new distribution substation between l’Ascension and Delisle, which will be commissioned at the beginning of 1991. The $8 million project was awarded to Electro Saguenay. The substation will be responsible for receiving the electrical power produced by the Alcan dams via a 735 000 Volts cable and distributing this energy among 161 000 Volts and 25 000 Volts lines, the latter being the power concentration for residential lines.
